Neutrals, textures and exaggerated silhouettes create the spine of this editorial. It was such a fun day on set! Testing is probably one of my favorite things to do..no pressure, open concepts, buiding friendships..I love.

The team behind this set consisted of photographer Maja Buck, (@majabuck) h/mua Jessica Lindsay, (@themakeupdoctor) model Mika Nobles (@mika_nobles) and me, styling. I had seen Mika before modeling for By George’s ecommerce and I was super excited to have her in on our play sesh. Love her look. Our concept derived from blatantly wanting this aesthetic in our books. This monochromatic simplicity is everything. I didn’t bring many accessories nor many layers or fussy elements. each look is straight forward and easily replicatable in quotidian dress. I focused on the overall mixture of the chunky fabrics with silks and fluid pieces. Exaggeration is also important here..the long sleeves are extended past the wrists, even hands, the boxy tops/ pant legs are dramatized and I sized up on the comfy cardigan to create more slouchiness.
Obviously not all of us are into such a dramatic statement but the ideas behind the silhouettes and color/texture pairing is transferable. I definitely go for some head-to-toe neutral ensembles.
